As well as individualized yoga therapy, I offer small group classes at several Sacramento area locations. And to keep a healthy balance, I hold spring and summer series yoga classes for children at schools and in my home studio. To enroll in a class, please call me (Simone) directly at 916-715-3225. Below is a list of group classes  that are currently offered.

Summertime Kids Yoga

cost: $65 for 5-week series, $15 drop-in

Yoga for ages 4 - 7

at Delta Mind Body Center

2014 10th Street

Sacramento, CA

Class size limited to 20 students.

Each day we will travel to different parts of the globe using music, creative movement and our imaginations. Children will build strength and flexibility while on our journeys, where we will meet many different animals and learn the corresponding animal yoga poses for each. We will use things like balls, ribbons, puppets and stuffed animals to bring attention to different poses.
We will discover how strong, as well as how soft, our breath can be, and how it can help us relieve anger, anxiety, and even sadness. We will use our breath and our imagination to quiet our bodies at the end of each class.    Most importantly, we will have FUN! The final class of the series will culminate in a “yoga obstacle course,”  where children will combine all of the yoga poses and movements of the previous classes. Parents are welcome to visit the final class to either observe or participate. The last 15 minutes of each class will be devoted to yoga related games or craft activities.

Restorative Yoga:

Restorative yoga is beneficial for promoting healing for a range of ailments and injuries.   Many people also find it a great way to end the work week. At the beginning of class, I lead you through series of stretches and breathing techniques  to begin to relax your nervous system. You will then learn how to rest in postures, supported by blankets, bolsters and blocks, so that your body can engage in “the relaxation response.” The relaxation response is a physiological response that has been shown to promote healing as well as reset the nervous system from a fight-or-flight to a rest-and-digest mode. At the end of class, I often use guided relaxation or music to help you relax fully.

Mom ‘n Me yoga, for infants thru teens and their mothers

Private and semi-private lessons

Private instruction is a safe way for people with health conditions to introduce their bodies to movement. It can also allow you develop a habit of doing yoga in your own home, which is sometimes easier for people with limited mobility. Most importantly, it enables me to design a series of yoga poses and breathing exercises that are specific to your individual needs. For more information, go to private sessions

“I have fibromyalgia and congestive heart failure and have been attending Simone's restorative yoga class on and off for several months now. I love the class and often drag myself there even when I am totally exhausted, because I know that I will feel better during and after the class. The poses are easy to get into and deeply relaxing to stay in. I feel more rested and energized after the Restorative class than I do after taking a nap and I often go for a walk when I get home from yoga class. I would recommend the class to anyone with health problems but also to healthy people who just need to de-stress. It is a great class and Simone is a great instructor with a calm and caring presence.” Marijani, yoga student.
